The latest iOS 10 beta update, 10.3, is sure to bring cheer for Indian users as Siri, Apple’s digital assistant, will now be offering cricket scores, stats and trivia.

The new feature makes Apple’s intent in its fastest-growing market very clear. India is a cricket-crazy nation and the demand for such content is huge. However, Apple is actually playing catch-up with Google Now which added cricket support three years ago.

Apple said in a statement that Siri will be pulling in information from International Cricket Council (ICC) tournaments and the wildly popular Indian Premier League (IPL). Users can ask for team rankings, live scores, individual player records, tour itinerary and other general match information. Queries can be as specific as: Show me Virat Kohli stats or as basic as when is the next cricket match?
