Box Launches Initiative for Nonprofits


Box’s CEO Aaron Levie spoke at length about his company’s success with its developers and and enterprise customers at Box’s Developer Conference earlier this year. But Box is now trying to attract a new type of customer: nonprofits.

The company announced it is launching, a new initiative that will offer free and discounted licenses to nonprofit organizations around the world.

Box’s services will be free to organizations with 10 or fewer employees while those with more than 10 will get a 50% discount. The special pricing will be available to any organization officially designated as a 501(c)(3) (or equivalent) nonprofit …
