When country music writer Grady Smith published his 10 Best Country Albums of 2013 for Entertainment Weekly, he caught flack from commenters who claimed the list didn’t include enough mainstream music.
In response, Smith created a super-cut video of all the truck-riding, beer-guzzling and girl-ogling moments in this year’s mainstream country music. It’s a compendium of genre clichés, including its affinity for dirt roads, river banks and girls in tight jeans.

Smith writes in the description: “I hope country fans will stop settling for this derivative junk. I love a dumb party song every once in a while (including some of these!), but when they’re the only flavor available, they get old very, very fast.” …
