Sting-Sung Cellphone Ringtones Are Better Than the Originals



Thursday’s Apple event had one glaring omission: Where were the ringtones recorded by Sting (Stingtones)?

The iconic musician stopped by The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon to fill this void in the universe by performing his take on popular ringtones, including the iPhone’s default tune “Marimba.”

Sting also recorded an outgoing voicemail to the melody of “Message in a Bottle” for one lucky audience member — “Sorry I’m away / Looks like you missed me / You just leave your name / when you hear the beep-o.”

Now, that’s talent.
