The Big Ben theory: Tech giant Infosys to build the world’s tallest clock tower


Indian software giant Infosys is planning to build the world’s tallest free-standing clock tower at its campus in the southern city of Mysuru, around 150 kilometres away from its headquarters in Bengaluru. At 135 metres, the proposed tower will soar above landmarks such as Old Joe, Big Ben, Hoover Tower and McGraw Tower.

The tower will be a blend of classical architecture and digital technology. While it will be built in the Gothic style, in keeping with the classical look of the surrounding buildings, it will have a digital timepiece that can also be used to display messages. …
